In January 2008, Jerry, Jeff Lacey and Martin Halberg flew to India to hold the 4th annual Pastor's conference with Abundant Life For All Ministries (ALFA). Approximately 300 pastors stayed on the ALFA campus, run by Pastors "Krup" & Victoria Gallapalli, and attended the 3-day conference. The attending pastors shepherd small churches around Southern India and they frequently face backlash from radical Hindus. In fact, while at the conference, we received a report that a new church had been taken over by radicals, the staff was beaten and the building was burnt to the ground. Unfortunately, this is all too common.

When we arrived at the ALFA campus, we joined with the other part of our ministry team; six great guys from Houston, Texas affectionly known as the "Houston Boys". For the second year in a row, this dedicated group held a Vacation Bible School for the orphans who live full time on the ALFA campus along with the pastor's children that came to the conference. It was an amazing sight to watch these men pour out their hearts daily; from teaching the Vacation Bible School curriculum to playing red rover with the kids. You know they captured the children's hearts when tears began to roll down the children's faces when it was time to say good-bye at the end of the week. They truly made a difference in the lives of these future Christian leaders! It was a great week full of God's blessings!

After 7 wonderful days, we boarded a plane for the 22-hour trip back to Atlanta and the "Houston Boys" headed back to Texas. Thank you to everyone who made the trip and conference possible!
