Read below for a few personal testimonies expressed by people who have purchased the book in the past:
"I had a plumber at my house and he was in the upstairs bathroom forever replacing a simple part. When he finally came down, he said he had read some of the stories in the Christmas Book which I had placed in a basket in the bathroom. He was going through a tough time and he said the stories had really touched him. I told him to take the book with him and now every time I see him, he still talks about how much the book means to him!" Leslie Fowler (Gainesville, GA)
"The Stories and Thoughts Christmas Book has become a "must have" on my holiday gift list. Since the very first holiday that I gave them out, the recipients have commented long after the holidays were over how much they enjoyed the book. My great aunt, who I forgot to give one to a few years back, called the day after Christmas and asked where her Christmas Book was...and has since reminded me each Christmas to not forget her book!" Ami Huff (Sugar Hill, GA)
"We have sent the Christmas Books to all our close friends and relatives every Christmas since the first one came out. Every year, a few of our friends ask us when the new book is coming! We also have a close friend in a nursing home and we give her extra copies to give as gifts since she can't get to a store to shop. The books are definitely a value to those who receive them!" Francie Bennett (Woodstock, GA)
"I use the Christmas Books for Christmas cards/gifts for family, close friends and especially elderly friends. Everyone is impressed with the books and they really seem to appreciate being included." Bob French (San Antonio, TX)
"Every year, my company mails out over 200 copies of the Christmas Books to our clients. One year, I received this email from a client who received a copy. It said, 'Thank you for sending me the Stories and Thoughts Christmas Book that Jerry's wife put together. I enjoyed reading it and was inspired by one of the stories at the end of the collection. I found it very relevant to the work that I have been involved with; helping rebuild homes in the Biloxi area. I was asked if I would prepare a sermon on my recent experiences and how it has affected me. I delivered that sermon on Sunday and included the Legacy of Concern story in the sermon. I am always amazed at how God puts things and people in your path just when you need them. Thanks for giving me the inspiration to help me spread the Word.' Jay Chambers (Charlotte, NC)
"I have purchased the Christmas Books for a number of years and the count has steadily increased. I started with one book and other people read it and liked it so I started giving the books as Christmas gifts. People have been inspired and blessed by the words of wisdom and look forward to each addition." Eurv Fuller (Atlanta, GA)
"My husband and I have given out numerous copies of the Christmas Book, to friends and family, over the years. Many people have told me how much they love the books but there are two stories that really stand out for me. I once gave a copy to our babysitter, along with some money, before her mission trip to Sierra Leon. Upon her return, she said the stories, in the book, were directly related to the experiences she had on her trip. She also said the book gave her and the entire mission team a lot of spiritual inspiration while they were there. After she returned home, she gave me an African necklace that she brought back from the trip. I keep the necklace on my car rearview mirror to remind me of the small part I played and that we never know how our thoughtfulness might help encourage someone. The second story involves my Grandmother. Every year, I give her a copy of the book. She lives in an assisted living center in a small town in New York. One year, she told me a gentleman came to her center to read to the residents. Once the man started reading, she noticed he was reading from that year's edition of the Christmas Book. To this day, we still do not know how this man knew about the books and obtained a copy." Tammy Leavitt (Norcross, GA)
